THE MUCKERS' SONGS (CBBC) PRODUCER / WRITER / DIRECTOR / EDITOR

ALL PROJECTS

The Muckers' Songs is a series of six episodes for CBBC commissioned off the back of the successful broadcast pilot The Muckers. Four Cornish teenage bloggers introduce and perform  the songs and their videos celebrating either significant dates on the CBBC calendar, such as National Shakespeare Day and National Anti Bullying Week); or things that are simply dear to their hearts such as tractors and manure. The songs vary in genre from 'Rural Raga' and 'Shakespearian Rap' to 'Seasick Shanties'. The songs and videos were written by me through workshopping with the children. The music was arranged by Dave Westlake of Mighty Boosh fame (Seasick Billy, Manure, Tractor, Bye Bye Bullying, Christmas Song) and James Jones (Shakespeare Rap)

The show was a Big Face TV commission,  produced, directed and edited by me - on a shoe string budget.

The Commissioner was Melissa Hardinge
