For the Win, a BBC 3 30’ sketch show, is an anarchic, super fast paced, high-energy, mixed-media sketch show format, packed with high-energy sketches, big silly repeating characters and scenarios all linked with a demented narrative arc.

FTW started life a 9k BBC taster tape made in a cupboard, which Matt Stronge produced and I directed and edited. The money came from Stepehn McCrum’s in house development fund. (Stephen is a legendary executive producer for comedy in the BBC with credits including Mrs Brown’s Boys, Mongrels and is currently in production with the controversial Bluestone Two Zero, a sitcom about a bomb disposal detachment in Afghanistan.) The taster won us 100k to make the pilot in-house at the BBC. The reaction so far has been fantastic and we await a definitive response.

The Pilot was broadcast four times on BBC Three with great reviews and racked up great figures on BBC iPlayer. At one point it was commissioned for a series - due to clashes in schedules it was disappointingly then put 'on the back burner’. It may have a life yet! Who knows? The rights however now belong to us.

We have since re-edited a taster tape from the pilot which pitches the show as ‘Cafe Win’ focusing more on the sitcom element of the show and the character’s lives and adventures from the crazy cafe. For more information and treatment please contact John at
